Dr. Harmann received his Ph.D. from the University of Heidelberg in Mineralogy in 1988. He came to ISU from Las Vegas where he was directing the Structure and Solid Phase Analysis group within the University of Nevada-Las Vegas Science and Technology Program. His specialty is materials research, especially solid phase analysis and X-ray diffraction.
