College of Engineering

Outreach

The student services/public information specialist for the College of Engineering at Idaho State University (ISU) is available to make presentations about the study and practice of engineering and computer science, and the programs available at ISU, whether it be a single classroom presentation or several, or perhaps to take part in an event such as a Career Day. When possible, engineering and computer science faculty, students, and professionals, will be included in the presentations.

ISU GK-12 Project

The ISU GK-12 Project helps build stronger communities. The Engineering department at ISU proudly sponsors graduate students to bring technology, science, and engineering into our secondary schools.

More information about the ISU GK-12 Project can be found at their website, http://www.isu.edu/departments/gradk12/

Campus Tours

Tours of ISU College of Engineering facilities are also available. Pre-college students and teachers can visit the laboratories where our students do their work and meet with faculty who teach our classes.

Engineers and computer scientists play important roles in improving our quality of life. The goal of our tours and presentations will be to encourage pre-college students to consider a career in engineering or computer science. These professions need bright minds to meet the challenges our society is facing today and will face tomorrow.
