Project Description:
Research is concentrated on active control of the unsteady flow in a
wide variety of components and/or subsystems. The term active flow
control is used to describe the methods to actively manipulate flow
fields with auxiliary power introduced to the flow. This project
explores the possibilities of further performance improvement using the
theories and technologies of intelligent systems. Intelligent systems
can be applied to better sensing and actuating, improve model accuracy,
and optimize the control schemes.
