RULES ========== 1) Don't do anything illegal. That means don't do anything that could possibly involve me, Idaho State University, or yourself in a law suit, fines, jail time and/or government agents in black suites. 2) Be courteous. Do not use too much bandwidth or too much cpu / memory time during peak hours. The limits set on individual accounts are fairly lax, and I'd like to keep it that way. 3) Do not edit files that you do not own. Yes, UNIX users mess up and sometimes do not set the correct permissions on their files. However, this does not mean you should take advantage of that :) 4) Generally, don't worry too much about using too much CPU, bandwidth, memory or diskspace. There's really plenty of it. Currently, there are 8 gb quotas on individual accounts by default. If you have a good reason to use more space, please let me know and I will gladly increase your quota. The exception to rule #4 is rule #2. 5) Have fun, don't be afraid to explore. 6) Don't give your password out to anyone. If someone wants to use the server, tell them to apply for their own account. Any comments, suggestions, questions and/or threats may be directed to me, Richard Lundeen [lundrich@isu.edu].
